Zanzibar, Tanzania

Hi,

I thought I would write about how a weekday down here could look like.

7-8 am sports

8.30 am breakfast

9.30 am class

12.30 pm lunch

13.30-15 pm class

And after wards it's nice to take a swim in the ocean:) (Although tha last two days the water has been extremly hot. I think it must have been at least about 40 degrees, because it almost burned you when you went in.)

16 pm fresh fruit

19 pm dinner

We haven't had any exotic or stranges foods yet, but that might come on our adventure trip. On the school we get a lot of fruit: watermelon, pineapple, papaya, pear, banana and green oranges, and rice, patatoes, chicken, one type of fish, meatballs, a lot of tamato sauce, curry sauce, salat, soup and eggs. Occacionally we get small pizzas or burgers. In general the food here is good. We get warm food for lunch and dinner.

In the evenings we either sit at the bar or lounge and talk/ play some games.

Oh ja I have a TIA-moment :

One evening about tweenty of us have gone out to eat at a nearby hotel. We have all gotten our food and gladly eating, when someone suddenly says that there is a bat hanging above us. We all look up and discover about 3 bats hanging around above us, and to make things better a rat then runs across a wooden bar in the sieling(? loft) aswell :) Ahhhh! If this happened in Denmark you would freak out, but for some reason we didn't really care. I mean this is Africa, so it's just a normal thing. So we just continiued eating haha!
